Federation of Worker Council and Trade Unions’ Demonstration against the occupation of Iraq

The FWCUI organized a demonstration on the 4^th anniversary of the US occupation of Iraq.

Many activist and workers from different sectors participated in the demonstration. They raised slogans in Arabic and English against the US occupation and asked for the end of it immediately.

The demo was distinguished by the participation of many female activists and some of them talked to media reporters.

Passers-by greeted the demonstrators raising victory signs, and car drivers were waving their hands in support.

It is worth mentioning that the route the demo took was through the main streets of downtown-Baghdad which were surrounded by the Iraqi and US troops. There were many streets barriers and check points that hindered a big number of workers from taking part in the demonstration.
